Another story to remind you to keep your seat belt fastened while flying. An Air Canada Boeing 777 flying from Shanghai to Toronto experienced severe turbulence, injuring 21 passengers.

“Suddenly the flight is just going down and everything is really scary. The girl sitting next to me, she was sleeping and she just fly up (to the ceiling),” said Linda He.

Just flew Rome to Amsterdam to Detroit last night on my first trans Atlantic flight in the same plane as the Malaysian air tradegy I think. Worst flight of my life very bumpy coming into Canada.

That’s got nothing to do with the plane. Probably a B777, which is a fabulous aircraft. Turbulence is turbulence, and with the huge storms we’ve been experiencing here in the US this week, you probably flew through some of that bumpy air. It’s extrememly rare , though, for turbulence alone to bring down a modern airliner.
